Welcome to Beacon Hill!

We are a very special community in a very special place. Tucked away in an oasis of towering trees, quiet roads, open spaces, and friendly faces - this is our community, our home, our lifestyle. Where we can come home to unwind in an atmosphere of beauty and peace. We are neighbors and friends committed to working and living together to create a place that we love, treasure and enjoy.

Beacon Hill is located right off the Star Spangled Banner Hwy (Old Crain Hwy) and Pennsylvania Avenue (Route 4). We are just minutes from the Interstate that can get you to Washington DC, Virginia, Baltimore or Annapolis quickly. With just a short drive you can reach restaurants, shopping, entertainment and much more.

To the right you'll see "President's Welcome." This is a personal greeting from the President of the Beacon Hill Board of Directors. So please take a moment to see that, and feel free to take a look around our website and get to know us. You'll quickly see why we love calling Beacon Hill home!

When you drive in and experience the peace, calm, and beauty of our community, you'll see that there really is, no place like "Our" home - Beacon Hill!

Our Community

Beacon Hill is located off the Star-Spangled Banner Highway, just a short distance from the Town of Upper Marlboro, the county seat of Prince Georges County, Maryland.

Tucked in between Maryland Route 4 and U.S. Route 301, we have the courthouse, county office building, board of education, and a beautiful lake with a walking path just down the street from us. To the south of our community is the Prince George’s Equestrian Center which hosts the annual county fair, a major annual antique show and The Show Place Arena. The arena is used for hockey games, circuses, rodeos, county fairs, and graduation ceremonies for many area high schools. While out driving or walking, you may even run across some horses trotting area trails. We have the new Osborne Shopping complex that features a Safeway, Dry Cleaners, Petco, Verizon and a host of other businesses. An Amish Market full of tasty treats and home furnishings is close by along with the Rolling Rib Part 2, a take-out restaurant that is open from early spring to late fall, that boasts some of the best pit-smoked, fall-off-the-bone barbecue you’ll ever taste! Joint Base Andrews is nearby for easy access for all area active duty and family members and retirees. Lastly, Bowie, Waldorf, Clinton, and Forestville are just short travel distances away for all our shopping needs.

We have the best of the best here in Beacon Hill – close enough to enjoy the necessities of life but nestled away where we can enjoy living that life peacefully with our fellow neighbors. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, where the pace of life is calm and unhurried.

“Community is not just about being together. It’s about doing life together.”

– Jen Schmidt
